I didn’t become a photographer at an art exhibition in Berlin, but in an air force barracks. During the day I was an officer, in the evening I was in the darkroom. What began as an experiment became a vocation.

Today, I have travelled to over 70 countries: construction sites in Saudi Arabia, factory halls in China, film shoots in South America – for campaigns, magazines and companies.

But what really interests me is never the role, but the person behind it. I work with those who have the courage to show themselves – in a business context as well as in personal moments.

Because a good picture doesn’t come from the outside, but from the inside.
